Who we are

C&J Garden Maintenance & Gutter Cleaning (ABN 60 474 740 878) is a sole-trader business based in Bacchus Marsh, Victoria. In these terms, "we" or "us" means C&J, and "you" means the customer who books our services.

Quotes

Quotes are given as a fixed price wherever possible. We confirm the price with you before any work starts. A quote is valid for 30 days and assumes reasonable access to the site, no hidden hazards, and the property is roughly as described.

If something on site is materially different from what we were told (e.g. a single-storey job turns out to be double-storey, or a small garden is much bigger than described), we will stop, talk to you, and either re-quote or walk away. No surprises on the day.

Bookings & cancellations

To book a job, we just need a confirmed quote and a day. You can cancel or reschedule any booking by calling or texting Craig on 0418 593 272. We ask for at least 24 hours' notice where possible so we can offer the slot to someone else.

Payment

Invoices are sent by email or SMS once the job is done. Standard terms are 7 days from invoice. Payment methods are bank transfer or, on request, cash. We do not require deposits for standard maintenance jobs. For larger landscaping work we may agree on a progress payment schedule in writing.

Our work

We are fully insured (public liability) and turn up with the right gear for the job. If you are not happy with any part of the work, call or text us within 7 days and we will come back and put it right.

We do not remove whole trees or stumps, do major structural work, or perform any tasks outside the scope of garden maintenance, gutter cleaning, hedge trimming, and small landscaping. If a job needs work beyond that, we will tell you and recommend a local trade.

Safety & access

For your safety and ours, dogs need to be secured before we arrive. If we cannot safely access the site (locked gates, aggressive animals, hazards we were not told about), we may need to reschedule. We will not charge a call-out fee for the first instance.

Liability

Despite our best efforts, gardening and gutter work can sometimes uncover pre-existing problems (a leaky gutter joint, a dead branch, soft fascia). We will flag these to you, but they are not caused by us and are not covered by our work.

To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the cost of re-performing the work. Nothing in these terms removes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version on this page at the time of your booking is the version that applies to your job.
